Pastor Mike
Pastor Mike DeCoursey came to Bethel as a part-time interim pastor in June of 2005 and was voted in as full-time minister in February, 2008. He has been married to the former Karen Hedden of Petersburg, IN for over 47 years. They have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. His wife, Karen, serves as Bethel's Choir director and is employed by the Pike County School Corp. as a music and art teacher. Pastor Mike is a graduate of the University of Evansville. He retired at the end of 2006 from Hoosier Energy's Merom Generating Station where he was the Senior Buyer. He is ready and willing to help answer any questions or concerns you may have. Youth Pastor Mike
Mike Leydet has been serving in youth ministry since 2001. He and his wife, Renee, have been married since 2000 and have 2 children, Hope and Daniel. Mike is an avid sports fan and loves/hates the Chicago Bears. Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and generally being outdoors. Lesa Houghland

Stacy Page
Our Custodian, Stacy Page, is doing a good job of keeping the church looking its best.

Karen DeCoursey
Karen DeCoursey, wife of Pastor Mike, is the worship leader for Bethel church. She plans the music for worship services each Sunday as well as directs the Bethel choir. If you have any requests or questions, please contact the church office.

Jim Strange
Jim Strange is our groundskeeper. He retired from a 30-year career as a coal miner and has been hard at work on our grounds ever since. Our grounds never looked so good.

Church Council

The church council consists of nine members of Bethel church who work hard to meet the needs of the church. They meet the second Monday evening of each month.
